Boring!

This may seem boring, but one fun part of my internship has been doing all sorts of fun trivial and tedious activities that i never needed to be involved in during my time at college.

i'm now developing a working knowledge of microsoft publisher as i create materials for our weekly meetings. i am currently working on a video for our Western New York Fellowship Dinner. It's a video of who UB students think Jesus is. i've never made a video before and it's kinda fun, even though it takes a whole lot of time!

Also, another fun thing i've enjoyed that comes with being part of a gigantic organization is creating logos for Western New York that fit in with our corporate identity:
i recently made a flyer or something like that for our ministry and then my director sent me a packet that explained our graphic identity. Turns out our personalized symbols (like the Western New York Campus Crusade logo you will or have seen on my prayer letters) have very specific guidelines like: compressed font 67% smaller than the corporate logo at 60% of the color blue.

Now this isnt fun for most people, i understand. But i'm really enjoying learning how to fit in with Campus Crusade while still being creative, innovative, and an envelope pusher on other fronts.

An announcement and a frustration

Announcement: i'm going to spend next year doing Katrina relief work in New Orleans.

Frustration: Ellicott really is full of spiritually interested students.

So i'm annoyed because i've left all these students that i wish i knew at the beginning of the year! We could've gone so far together!

i guess that's the way it feels when you leave things you've invested deeply in behind!
